This photo was recently discovered by Sue Phifer. She posted it on Facebook.  Here father took the photo is the early 1950s.

It looks like Brownie (who died a few years later) was eating ice cream out of a cigar box. There appears to be an ice cream cone next to the cigar box.

Interestingly, I’ve never seen any mention of what Brownie ate out of. No water bowl, dog bowl. Could he have always eaten out of old cigar boxes?

The bench the gentleman is sitting on is locked. Could this be some kind of waiting area for taxi cabs?
