In the 40s, taxi cab drivers sold Brownie the Town Dog postcards to raise money for Brownie’s care.
Today, a very kind local family dropped off a copy of this postcard. They bought it from a vintage store and it appears that they had a few that they numbered and sold individually. Note that the seller wrote an explanation of who Brownie was where the correspondence and address would be.
I don’t know how much these cards so for in the 40s.
The postcard was given by Susan Spencer from Daytona Beach. Thank you, Susan!
